In Naples, making responsible, local, and sustainable purchases is within reach: on Saturday, November 16, the Garden Tower of Capodimonte’s Royal Woodlands—a historic agricultural site once cherished as a Bourbon-era orchard and pleasure garden—will host a new gathering of the Slow Food Earth Market.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors can engage with small-scale food producers and artisans, who will share the unique aspects of their craft rooted in the “Good, Clean, and Fair” principles advocated by Slow Food.
On offer, at fair prices, will be seasonal produce like cauliflower, kale, black cabbage, escarole, potatoes, and chestnuts, as well as renowned items from Slow Food Presidia, such as Acerra’s Dente di Morto cannellini beans, torzella greens, and the traditional Neapolitan papaccella pepper.
There will also be a broad selection of processed goods, including extra-virgin olive oil, lemon-infused oil, jams, ginger apple sauce, spicy cannellini flegreo sauce, candied orange peels, and fresh citrus juices.
